God is great… I started in media in 2007 in Royal TV lahore as a Research Officer…. In Royal tv I worked under Mr Mobeen Rasheed who was Director Research Wing and also anchoring ROYAL IDARIA…. Royal TV hired me on Salary of 10000 Rupees but After two months when I was given salary it was seven thousand and I was told accept it or you are fired…as I was new in media and had no experence ….I decided to stay and served only 4 month there…. My experence in Royal Tv was experence in hell… as an office seniour in 128 Aurangzeb Block office …. I saw some of the worst and Best people…. for example Ali Johari and Umair ,who were doing cutting and pasteing job for our News paper Regesters were care free and Good youngsters…where as shahid who was also doing the same job…was owners inner man…He was the man who had no sense of Halal or Haram….and I found him most dishonest man in my office…. then there was a young boy ,i think his name was Zeshan… he was a confused person who was comming from theory into Practical…. Some time honest and religous and some time dishonest Muhammad Ahmed(now in DAWN News) and Khurram Awan (in Duniya TV now) were two other research officers where in addition of Research Ahmed was also Liberarian….. Now comming to our Boss Mobeen Saab…. He was Hard working but Insecure person in his personality…. Who had no Initiative…. nor will to protect his under commands and was loyal only to himself… The culture in Royal Tv is full of meaness and injustice . Its a hell but I recommend Youngsters to Join this channel to learn and understand media…. Its one of the worst TV channels in Pakistan…. work one year in Royal and get Heart desise as a reward I left Royal TV due to Dispute with Mr Mobeen Rasheed…. For four months I remained jobless…then one day I got a call from my Friend Captain Atif….who asked me to Help out his friend Ms Aqeela who was in DIN NEWS I went to Din News and Met Aqeela…She is a Good Girl around 25 years and was anchoring her Show HIGHLIGHTS WITH AQEELA…. She took me to Director Programs Ms Zunera…. Zunera is combination of Showoff and extreme ego without roots or depth…. I gave her my CV…. She asked” how can I belive what ever you have written in your CV is true” then looked towards her Subordinates for appreciation…. I had beard at that time and i felt she was making fun of my beard or thought every person with beard is illiterate …. This Question set me on fire… I replied madam I am sitting infront of you…if you have capability ask me question and you will know what I am” She was I think not expecting such a reply from me…. her face changed into red…. she said ” Ok start your work and for three days we will judge you …if you come to our standerd we will hire you” Next day there was a blast infront of Army House and Aqeela had to do special Program….Fortunately no VIP was available for beeper….. There is a Highly educated, saintly type person who anchors a show in DIN NEWS….His name is SHAHNAWAZ RANA ,who is also a great name of Radio…. I met Easar Rana and Gave him my CV….Easar Saab is a copy of His elder brother Shahnawaz Rana…. the only difference is that Shahnawaz Saab is a Saintly type of person…..where as Easar saab is more worldly….. Easar saab Saw my Beeper and my publications and showed them to the owners of the Khaberain Group… I was called and Interviewed and selected as a researcher in channel 5 with salary of RS 15000.. I Joined Channel 5 on 12 nov 2007…. GOLDEN ERA Quran Says in 30th para in Sura Alam Nashra “So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, Verily, with the hardship, there is relief .” Joining Channel Five opened doors for me in media…I had honor of serveing with Syed Masood Rizvi, Afzal Shahid, Wasi Shah, Hafeez Tahir etc…. It was a dream team…we came on air before election in Feb 2008…. and with in month were amoungst top 5 Pakistani Channels….but the some thing started going wrong….The owners started treating seniors and workers as their slaves…so first Wasi Shah Left…then Hafeez Tahir….then Afzal Shahid….then Masood Rizwi …., I still remember my days in Channel 5…we worked as team who never thought to lose…with so limited resources we proved our worth….I was the only researcher for election…. Sir Afzaal used to record 6 programs of HALKA ELECTION UMEEDWAR in day for ten day…. people were surprized how we worked…but alas Imtinan Shahid ruined the channel…. his attitude made people to leave and at present Channel Five is worst channel even below Royal TV…. I who came as Researcher but was given chances to produce documentries and Packages…. credit goes to Sir Afzal Shahid and Sir Hafeez Tahir….who forced me to do script and Take initiatives…. I was sole researcher for daily current affairs program AAJ PAKISTAN MAIN anchored by Muzammal Saharwardi ,chief reporter Khaberain Group… It was my job to do research and be in contact with important personalities and also to arrange Beepers for program…. It was an intresting job and i used to recieve calls from as far as small town of balochistan ….. for our segment AIK PAKISTANI KE AWAZ…. on Phone I learned from people their problems and every day I selected 1 Ordinary Pakistani for talking to us in our program…. Once i was tried to be bribed by a gentleman from lahore who said Bilal Saab promote us and we will make you rich…which i refused…because i think I am not that cheep to sell my faith for few thousands or hundred thousands…. In June I resigned…it was due to a cheapster, the incompetant and most hated Director current affairs… he tried to bully me for asking my salary in meeting and I resigned … i was called back by administeration who apologized and I came back to get my two months salary…. Meanwhile Shahbaz, who was with me in Royal TV phoned me to Apply in Dunya in Monitering Department…of which he was incharg…. I went there and submitted my CV…. and was selected…. By trade i am researcher/script writer…and DN dunya TV at that time SIR AMIR GHORI told me that he will transfer me to Programing after Some time…. Comeing back to Channe 5 I was given one month salary after my return and I continued there till 30th june then Told people that I was joining Dunya TV on next day…. DUNYA TV is owned by Mian Amir Mahmood…. Here every thing is bought with money…. with so much big names and attractive packages you wont find any homeliness. at least I failed to adopt it as my new home…. Mr Amir Ghori who is the best professional I have ever seen was kicked out due to beaurocratic culture of Dunya Tv… things are so much Beaurocratic and Political in dunya tv that you never know next day you will be in dunya tv or will be fired…. After amir Ghori things went to dogs…. Now i was feeling stucked in monitering where my job was to see 12 TV channels and report any breaking news to My assignment editor….. it was during Ramazan… due to my qualification and expression my Assignment editor for no reason called me and bullied me…. I was in Night shift…. after the episode…. i was broken from my heart …it was first time some body bullied me like that …I told him to shut up …and before Fajer after eating Sehri I went to mosque…Recited Daroood and after namaz went to Marakba…. I imagined my self to be infront of Prophet(PBUH) and Requested him “o! master Please help me out….I dont want to serve here but cannot react because now i am married and cannot afford to resign….please help me out O! blessing for universe” At 8 am my shift ended and I came back home…. After eating I went up to my room…talked to my wife and was prepareing to sleep when my step mother callled…. Bilal some body wants to Talk to you and says he is from EXPRESS NEWS…. I went down and took the reciever …the gentleman on other side said I am Ali Imran from Express news…Mr Bilal i have phoned you to inform you that today at 4 PM you are required to appear for interview…. Tears came out from my eyes and i Started reciteing darood….My master had once again rescued me from tensions…. At 4 i reached Express News… Ms Sara senior producer took my interview….and said nothing…. i went back and after Iftar went to Dunya Tv…. in Morning again Ali Imran called and told me to come for Final Interview… this final Interview was Taken by SIR SULTAN LAKHANI and SIR FAHAD HUSSAIN…. After Interview I was offored appointment for ASSOCIATE PRODUCER…. I asked Ali Imran to give me 3 days to wind up from dunya Tv…. on next day went to DUNYA TV and submitted my resign….which was accepted … I Hate to work in tense enviroments like of dunya tv where you never know who is you enemy or friend…. Dunya Tv is dominated by RAJPOOT AND ARIEN braderi ….and if you dont belong to any of these two castes then you are easy prey…. I joined EXPRESS in september…. Its the best channel any one can Imagine…. they pay you more in capital and in respect…. you feel at home from the moment you enter… the credit goes to Mr Sultan Lakhani…. he is Gem of a man…. The amount of honor and respect which he gives to his workers …..make every one to love him… I have yet to see a person who is in top 15 rich list but is so kind and compassionate that any body can go to his office and talk to him… FINAL COMMENTS Professionaly Two persons Impressed me In media…. Amir Ghori First one is AMIR GHORI…. he is not only the greated journalist i ever met but also the greatest patriot i ever saw….sir Amir Ghori is Mr No non Sence…. he talks less but his every word is of thousands of tonn weight…. I , although served only a month or so but i consider him my Teacher…. He is a Brotherly type of man… blessing for his coworkers … I dont have words to define this person…in two words i will say he is Great teacher Second person who Impressed me is Mr FAHAD HUSSAIN…. he is directer News in express News…. he is also mr no non sense type of Man… in past 6 months or so I have only once or twice seen him sitting…. He is a crazy worker whose craze is his work and due to whom Express news is number 1 news channel in pakistan…. He also talks less but when he talk no word is un nacessery…. He is a good commander who know how to use and where to use his under commands….. At channel 5 Wasi Shah impressed me… He is a down to Earth man… a person who will leave his impression in your mind once you meet him… Sir masood Rizvi who is also my Teacher in Production…is a Gentleman…but very week person….who lose faith very easily Sir Afzal Shahid….is a Diplomate…. a friendly type of person who will motivate you to do what you think impossible and will guide you in such a way that you will do miricals Muzammal Saharwardi… highly egoistic and selfish person he is… He will be good with you if he has intrest… can strike any time even to friends…. Hafeez Tahir… Good commander… know how to do his work I call him GOHAR SHANAS…. Media today is controlled by capitalists… and every out let works first for the intrest of group which it belongs…. I have seen the worst curropt people in media… who can sell any thing for pennies…. I have with my own eyes see reports prepared or stopped for monitory reasons…. I belive Journalism is job of Prophets…. we journalists are responsible to educate masses… but our pay masters who have invested money in channel and who gave us salaries think other wise…..
